Before using PlanEdge, I had no experience with floor plans at all, not even sketching them with a pen and paper.
After a few, short training sessions I started drawing floor plans on my own. One of the first ones was, as you can see, not a particularly square or straightforward house to draw. Using the powerful tools in PlanEdge (such as Triangulation and Rise and Run) I was able to draw the plan easily and in a timely fashion. I would have thought that trying to draw the plan freehand would be much more difficult and wouldn’t have ended up nearly as accurate as it has using the PlanEdge software.
